Residents of Longridge Country Estate in Paeroa gathered for a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea fundraiser, bringing homemade treats and generous hearts to support a cause that touches many.
Held in the village’s temporary recreation centre, the event raised $1,119 through donations, raffle tickets, and a sale table of handmade and donated goods.

This marks the second year Longridge has hosted the morning tea, part of the national Pink Ribbon Breakfast campaign run by Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. Each year, thousands of New Zealanders host similar events during May and June to raise funds for breast cancer research, education, and patient support.
Organisers said they were thrilled by the turnout and the community spirit shown by the residents. The funds raised will help support both women and men affected by breast cancer, with every dollar going towards life-saving initiatives, early detection campaigns, and support services for those undergoing treatment.
