Fatal Accident Whangamata

One person has died after a single-vehicle crash on Waihi Whangamata Road this morning.

Police were called to the scene about 11.40am.

Sadly, the sole occupant died at the scene.

The road is closed, with diversions in place, while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
