After a weather-hit cancellation in April, the Thames Music Group is inviting the community to a special Mother’s Day concert in Thames — featuring the rising talents of the Passione Quartet.
The Auckland-based ensemble will perform on Sunday 10 May at St George’s Church, bringing their dynamic and expressive chamber music to a local audience.
Formed in early 2024, the quartet has quickly built a reputation for its passionate musicality and tight ensemble sound, performing at events across Tāmaki Makaurau. Their development has been further strengthened through coaching with both the New Zealand String Quartet and the Australian String Quartet.
Audiences can expect a rich, polished performance shaped by the group’s dedication to their craft and shared love of classical music.
Organisers say it’s the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day — with live music in one of Thames’ most beautiful venues.
